Profile, Travel times India P.Ltd., ChennaiRail tourism for the “common man” was born in the year the year 2005 when IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation), a govt. of India enterprise partnered with TTI (Travel Times India Pvt Ltd), a prestigious organization that has been scaling heights in the tourism industry from its inception in the year 1981.

Travel Times India, having wide operations and vast industry experience throughout India, a country that houses one of the world’s largest railway networks connecting important tourist destinations, utilized this cost effective means to make the yearning tourists of our country realize their dream of traveling far and wide in a safe, secured and peaceful environment and delve themselves into religion, culture or tourism.

In the year 2005 IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation) & TTI (Travel Times India) together announced and operated the first tourist train named "Village on Wheels", a product of IRCTC, that was solely marketed and operated by TTI. The train was flagged off on 13th May 2005 and successfully began their first tourism movement for the common man with top-notch services and value for money tourism. Sumptuous high quality food on and off board, security guards at every coach, tour managers for every coach, off board bus transportation, hygienic accommodation PA systems and music on board are the value additions to this value for money tourist package.

 Realizing our motto behind Bharath Dharshan Tourist Train of “Money not being the barrier between the Tourist and the Destinations of his Dreams”, we at Travel Times India went on to pursue this ambitious journey despite all odds, government policy changes, economic downfalls of the country, price hikes and many other practical intangible obstacles to reaching a mile stone of 100 successful tourist trains.

The most unique aspect of this tourist train is that it travels to destinations that are too hard to reach. Bharath Dharshan tourist train is the only means to reach such a destinations through popular means. Destinations such as Shirdi-Pandaripur- Manthralaya, Saptha-Jyothirlinga, Pancha- Dwaraka, Kasi- Gaya- Allahabad, Haridwar Rishikesh, Udaipur, Ajmer, Pushkar, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Ahmedabad and Mumbai are a few circuits for example.
